15. Sutton Cafe
Information and Reviews
Here are a few key points from customer reviews:
- We Hungarian tourists stumbled upon this place and we were captured instantly. Traditional American diner, very kind and attentive elderly staff, marvelous atmosphere, and delicious food. Very good coffee as well. I could not ask for better and there's like 60 different dishes to choose from.
- Classic greasy spoon with really friendly staff. It was such a nice, relaxed old school Cafe with delicious breakfast food and a coffee cup that's never empty. Will be going back often! The only tip I would give is to bring cash as there is an upcharge with credit cards.
- Old fashion luncheonette, the kind of place where it doesn't take long for “ everybody knows your name.“ New York used to have one of these on every block but now they're rare as a hen tooth. Where else in New York can I walk in and the waiter knows what I'm going to order? The best dishes are the ones that require a little preparation, especially good at the breakfast is with all the standards and, for what it’s worth, the best sausages I’ve had in many years. The neighborhood is blessed to have this place around and every year I worry is going to close and be replaced by a nail salon, a new pharmacy, or a bar restaurant catering to 20-year-olds.
- Sutton Cafe is a true gem in the rough. An old-style diner that is truly a rarity in this day an age. I stop in at least once a week and enjoy the food and the neighborhood regulars.

16. The Breakfast Room
Information and Reviews
Here are some customer reviews:
- Super expensive for a step above McDonald quality breakfast. What a disappointment.
- Not bad the food. Was busy for Christmas Day, and overpriced for sure this place the food was not worth the money I paid.
- $55 for one glass of orange juice and one toast with old and brown avocado and 2 poached eggs?! Mind blowing, should’ve checked priced carefully first.
- Está rico el lugar, no se desayuna mal. Está un poco caro para lo que es.
